THE BEGINNING
A request that changed everything
It started in 2010 with a simple request: modify an existing prosthetic device for extreme use. What began as a one-off modification grew into something far more ambitious.
Péter Bengő saw what was missing — a prosthetic built not just for daily life, but for sport. For speed. For riders who refused to give up the handlebar. He invented and patented a new construction that would become the ARM-XR.
The first real test of his invention was deeply personal: a custom-built arm, individually tailored for a 5-year-old boy. Every part was made by hand.

From a single prototype to a certified medical device — a timeline of innovation, persistence and precision.
First prosthetic modification
Péter Bengő receives a request to adapt an existing prosthetic for extreme sporting use. The project sparks the idea for a purpose-built solution.
Patent filed — new construction
The ARM-XR construction is invented and patented. A fully mechanical arm with the same number of movement axes as the human arm, complete with a unique locking–releasing system.
First implementation
ARM-XR is custom-fitted for a 5-year-old boy — the first real-world test of the design. Every component is crafted by hand by Péter during development.
CNC manufacturing introduced
Arma Lab transitions to high-precision CNC machines and measurement systems, scaling production while maintaining the strictest quality standards.
EU 2017/745 & FDA certified
ARM-XR is a registered medical device, fully compliant with EU and FDA regulations — and available to riders around the world through a growing distributor network.

Péter has dedicated over a decade to the development of sport prosthetics. His background in precision engineering, combined with a deep understanding of the needs of amputee athletes, drives every decision at Arma Lab.

Made to last
ARM-XR is built with aerospace-grade materials and medical-grade precision — every unit individually assembled by hand before it leaves the workshop. Product manufacturing is overseen by the designer and patent holder for every order.
Aerospace aluminium alloy
The core material of ARM-XR is a high-strength aerospace aluminium alloy — chosen for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. At approx. 1.6 kg for above elbow models, ARM-XR is lighter than the human arm it replaces.
CNC precision & hand assembly
Each component is machined with high-precision CNC equipment and measurement systems. The final assembly is carried out under strict quality surveillance by Péter Bengő — every unit, every time.
